Some of you may be aware that there was intention to start having official Game Leaders in our Association this season. Game Leaders are similar to referees but for the u8 – u11 matches where the MiniRoos rules apply. Currently volunteer parents step into this role on a as-needs basis.

To be eligible to be a Game Leader, participants need to undergo a few training sessions. Minimum age is 12 years, which makes it ideal for those who were seeking to be referees who are 13 but due to age requirement changes missed out this season. Depending on the number of girls interested, Russell Lea may hold our own training or we may combine with Concord and Balmain.
